Palm, hedge and shrub trimming in Port St. Lucie

Cut back to shape. Dead and broken off. Green crown left on the palm.

How we cut

A shrub over a path can be lifted so you can walk under it without taking so much that it sits bare for a year. Hedges want to be a little wider at the base than the top, or the bottom goes bald and stays that way.

On palms we take the dead and the broken, drop the seed pods, and leave the green crown. Stripping a palm to a few upright fronds is a common storm-season cut here. It is a bad one. Cuttings go on our truck, not the curb.

When to call

When the hedge has closed over the walk, when fronds are brown and hanging, or when you cannot see out a window that used to have a view. Catch it early and it is a morning. Wait until it is in the soffit and it is a day.

Questions we get

Do you climb palms?
Yes. Most people wait until the fronds are heavy and the pods are all over the driveway. It costs less if you do not wait that long.
Do you haul the trimmings?
Yes. Fronds, clippings and pods leave with us.
Reviews
John and his "crew" are fantastic! They went out of their way to help us with our landscaping. It really needed help. He listened to our concerns and followed up with exactly what we wanted and needed. We cannot thank John for helping us to return our yard to its former beauty. The work was done on time. They attended to every detail, arrived on time, and they were meticulous.
